Compassion Health Care, Inc. Receives Part of US Rescue Plan for Health Center Construction and Capital Improvement | news


Compassion Health Care, Inc. learned this week that the hospital system was awarded $ 549,764 as part of a federal COVID-19 aid grant to improve access to health care in rural areas.

Funded by the Fiscal Year 2021 American Rescue Plan – Health Center Construction and Capital Improvements, the grant is a one-time infusion to support construction, expansion, remodeling, renovation and other capital improvements to modify, improve and expand health infrastructure.

The Health Resources and Services Administration has provided more than $ 950 million to 1,292 health centers across the country, said in a press release.

“Compassion Health Care, Inc. is growing continuously and our services are increasingly needed in our region. This grant funding will enable us to provide our communities with the excellent, affordable healthcare they deserve, ” said William Crumpton, CEO of CHC.

“The project schedule for this grant is two years. During this time we look forward to analyzing and planning the needs of our region. “

The American Rescue Plan – Capital Funding supports up to five (5) different project types per health center selected for funding.
